My boss was speaking at an event this evening, the first time I have not been there in months, and what happens? He announces he is against any voting reform! As if ‘first past the post’ is such a rousing success we cannot even explore other options! Honestly, Reginald and I will be having such a conversation in the morning—I’ve got a list written, with bullet points and references, and he will be reading up on the subject. It's enough to make me wonder what I'm doing at this job...
My mother’s birthday is coming up—does anyone have any suggestions as to presents? I got her a lovely cookbook last year and she thought I was criticizing her cooking; it wasn’t the reaction I had wanted.
